54. The Shoebox
I was struggling recently with distractions in prayer which I eventually put down to some concerns about something which was going to happen in my life in the near future. In prayer about how to let go of these concerns, the Lord offered me an empty shoebox and invited me to place all that I had to do on that day within the box, and to leave everything else out of it. In my mind I quickly went through all I had to do that day and placed each activity in the box. I found it su

53. Compensation
A prayer I recite daily is, “Dear Jesus, fused in your Divine Will and Divine Love, I desire to embrace everything, compensate for everyone and hold your Fiat captive upon the earth.” In thinking of that prayer recently, I sensed the Lord asking me do I know how to compensate for everyone? Making reparation and calling down God’s blessings on everyone i.e. compensation, should be a normal part of our everyday lives as we try to grow deeper into living in Divine Will. We need

52. Spiritual Warfare
I was on a summer break with my friend on an island in the sun last year and on one of our daily walks along the beach decided to visit a little out of the way bar for some light snacks. There were a few locals sitting at various tables in the rear of the restaurant. They didn’t appear to be together but were very noisy with lots of laughing and shouting. My friend remarked on how noisy it was in spite of the patron numbers being so small. In my spirit I could sense a darknes

21. Being Alert ... Hand it Over
This story is already in my book and is posted here to give some background to my follow-up blog no. 51. I was at a prayer meeting some twenty years ago in a tough area in an Irish city. In my spirit, I could see a mugging scene. I felt the Holy Spirit ask me to share how He wanted to be a "mugger" in people's lives because some members there were closed to his actions, and expected him to act in the way they usually experienced him. He wanted, however, to do something new an

38. Childhood Wounds … Sam’s Story
This story is already in my book and is posted here to give some background to my follow-up blog no. 51. My friend Sam recently disclosed that when she was seven years old, she overheard her father saying that she would never amount to anything. She had a childhood disability which her parents could not deal with, nor could they afford the necessary specialists to help her. This led to reinforcing her belief of never amounting to anything. She believed throughout her childho

51. A Meeting with Sam
This is a follow up to Sam's story from my book I met with my friend Sam recently and she looked great! Almost as if she was ten years younger. On enquiring as to what secret she held for her youthful looks, she replied that the Lord had brought her on an inner journey since our last meeting. She knew her story (Reflection 38) was in my book and out of curiosity had bought it just to see was what I had written fairly accurate. In her reading she happened on another chapter, t
