"O my Jesus, I ask your forgiveness in the name of all for all the times we have crowned You with thorns, for all the drops of Blood we made You shed from your most sacred head, and for all the times we have not corresponded to your inspirations." 12 Noon Hour
Reflection:
I sometimes read the line above and can tend to apply it to others more so than to myself... "for all the times I have crowned You with thorns, for all the drops of Blood I made you shed.... and for all the times I have not corresponded to your inspirations."
How have I crowned Jesus with thorns and made him shed blood from his most sacred head?
Perhaps I hold onto pride? Do I consider myself better than others? Do I give glory to God for the good I do? Do I waste or reject his graces?
How do I not respond to Jesus' inspirations?
Do I allow my mind to be cluttered with worldly concerns, opening myself up to worries and fears, and leaving little room for the Lord's graces and inspirations.
Dear Jesus, fused in your Divine Will and Divine Love, we ask you for the grace to keep our minds and hearts focused on you and filled with thoughts of You. May we take your thorns and letting them pierce our hearts, remove all that opposes you, especially sentiments of pride, and may You become King of our hearts. Amen
